Puttanesca gnocchi
Always boil the gnocchi first - I learnt from experience.
Serves 4
Ingredients
2 Tins Tomatoes
Onion
Garlic
1 tsp Chilli Flakes
1 tbsp Capers
60g Olives (Kalamata)
5 Anchovy Fillets
Pinch of Sugar
500g Gnocchi
Mozzarella
Method
Blitz one can of tomatoes until smooth – set aside
Heat the onion and garlic
Add the chilli and all of the tomatoes – simmer 10 mins
Add ¼ tin of water
Add capers, olives and anchovies – season and add sugar
Boil the gnocchi for 2 mins – add to tomato sauce into an oven proof dish
Tear mozzarella over the top and grill for 3-4 mins
